Both. You can learn in a manual 2023 Vauxhall Astra or an automatic 2018 Kia Rio. Both cars have dual controls.

Intensive courses start and finish at one of our central collection points: Norwich Train Station or Norwich Bus Station.

Question 3

Which intensive course might suit me?

Accepted Answer

The Beginners course is for people with no previous driving experience. The Test-Ready course is for learners who have had at least 10 hours of driving and have passed their theory test. If you are unsure, send us a message and we can talk it through.

How much tuition is included?

Both intensive courses include 20 hours of tuition across 4 to 5 days. The Beginners course is £1,350 and the Test-Ready course is £1,250.

Do I need to pass my theory test first?

Not for the Beginners course, which includes access to the Theory Suite app to help you prepare. For the Test-Ready course you should already have passed your theory test.

Test fees are not included in the course price. Practical test dates depend on DVSA availability. We can discuss your course and test plans with you when you get in touch.

Will I be test-ready at the end of the course?

Everyone learns at a different pace, so we cannot promise that. Some learners are ready to take their test after a course, others need further tuition. Your instructor will give you honest feedback on your progress.

How much are driving lessons?

A one-hour lesson is £50. Block bookings of 10 hours or more are discounted, so ask us about the price for your block.

Can I use your car for my driving test?

Yes. Test day car hire, accompanied by an Approved Driving Instructor, is £100 per hour plus mileage. A £40 fee applies for short notice bookings.

What is the Mature Drivers Confidence Builder Course?

Our Mature Drivers Confidence Builder Course is a 60-minute on-road session in your own car for drivers aged 60 plus, costing £99 in total. You receive a written report by email or text afterwards. Send us a WhatsApp message or call to arrange it. Family members are welcome to get in touch too.

Drivers aged 60 plus who would like a fresh, independent view of their driving, want to refresh their skills on today's roads, or are returning to driving after a break.

Do I use my own car?

Yes. The 60-minute session takes place in your own car, so you drive the vehicle you use every day.

Is it a driving test?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no test and no pressure. It is a relaxed, supportive session with a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor. It is not a medical assessment, so please speak to a GP about any health concerns.
